My third year group project and Dare 2019 competitor.

Tales of Treachery started as the coursework for a module as part of my degree. It was a student proposed project with mentoring by a team from Outplay Entertainment. The game is a co-operative party game with a hidden traitor mechanic similar to popular board games like Werewolf. The game is controlled by player's phones allowing the software to send bespoke hidden information to each player. This allows unique inputs to scenarios in the game.

My role in the team is lead programmer, I delegate and organise the programmers to get deadlines met and problems solved for the game. It was my job to handle the networking between the PC run game and the mobile controllers and to manage the team's git repository.

Dare 2019

The team got through the initial pitching phase for Dare 2019 and managed to get into the finals. The team was given a small budget and a month's time to further develop the game prototype. During this time, professionals from the Dundee game industry came in and mentored the teams.

After the development period the game was showcased to professionals during a play party at Abertay and finally the game was showcased at EGX 2019 in London. The game is narrated by Author Neil Gaiman and is still in development.
